Although none of our members practices this category, the CMR has organized each year since 1995, a competition of radio controlled stunt flying and more or less of happy with the level of the participation.

This year, on October 5, it was rather less since only 2 candidates came whereas 5 had been registered. I take this opportunity to say to those who made us “false jump” that the telephone and Internet exist and function and that the least of the courtesies is let us know when opinion is changed, but “that’s life”! In spite of that and difficult weather, the competition took place in good mood and friendliness. We had solicited three judges, all well known, namely Jean-Claude COUSSON and Pierre PIGNOT of Chatellerault and Jean-Pierre DUMET of Limoges, which I thank again for their devotion.

The two pilots, Jean-Claude L’HOSTIS of Rennes and Arnaud DROUET of Chatellerault each carried out three flights with the same coach is Mrs. L’HOSTIS which also introduced us to the use of the GNAM program companied by Pierre PIGNOT. All went very well, in spite of a wind which could reach 7 to 8 m/s. Towards 12:00, the flights being finished, we found ourselves around the table for a lunch prepared by the CMR; it was well timed because the rain made its appearance for the rest of the day.
